Every member of our staff is trained on the new, constantly updating, cleaning and operating guidelines issued by the Greek government. This is one of the most important steps to keep you and your loved ones and our staff safe and healthy.
COMMON EFFORTS
We encourage social distancing at check-in.
We keep an incident book to record any event and any actions needed to be taken.
Thermometers are available at the reception for checking of our employees or guests upon request and a medical kit is adjusted to the recent needs.
Increased hand- washing and sanitation of our staff
Disinfection products may be found in all common areas and in each room and single-use gloves and masks can be provided as well, free of charge
Reception staff may wear face shields or masks and there is a Perspex screen at the reception desk.
Room keys will be sanitized upon check-in and check out
Check out time is at 11:00 and check-in is at 15:00 to ensure we have time to thoroughly clean rooms.
Operation timetable of reception is open from 0730 to 2200hrs.
We can no longer offer a buffet breakfast. Guests only need to inform us of their preference on the food choices for us to serve you at your table.
Transfers to and from the harbor MUST be booked in advance. Telephone numbers for local taxis are available at reception.
Telephone numbers of health authorities, hospitals, clinics (public and private), doctors, first aid help centers are available and will be provided upon request.
Non residents are not allowed in the rooms. It is not allowed to receive and store any parcels on guests’ behalf.
Storing clients’ luggage, in case of early check-in or late check-out, will be provided in a secluded area
All of our cleaning products are chosen in order to achieve a higher than average concentration of bacteria-killing ingredients
HOUSEKEEPING & MAINTENANCE
Cleaning Services – due to the increased health measures required because of the COVID-19 threat, the Greek government have instructed us to suggest that you forgo the option of a daily room cleaning service. We will not enter your room to clean for stays of up to 3 day duration. For longer duration stays guests may inform the reception if they require a cleaning service. Of course, we are at your disposal in case of emergency. Any service will be provided during the clients’ absence and we would request that windows are left open in the rooms at every opportunity.
The Opera House Hotel can supply you with the following additional services. Please ask at reception:
Extra linen (bed sheets, pillowcases, blankets, pillows)
Disinfection liquid
Hand sanitizer for clients’ hands is available upon entrance of reception are use of gloves & masks
Informative messages concerning the personal hygienic measures that clients’ have to take and preserve throughout their stay.
Housekeepers wear masks and gloves at all times
The housekeeper will knock on your door to collect your rubbish from you when you are in your room.
All maintenance works will take place while a room is not occupied. In case of an emergency, please contact reception.
Health and Safety
Increased cleaning and disinfection procedures of the kitchen and storage rooms.
Kitchen personnel only are allowed to enter the kitchen areas.
We have adopted a frequent sanitation procedure of the common areas, and the commonly used public surfaces of the restaurant.
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY AND PROTECTION
Please wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water or a disinfectant, and avoid touching your face (eyes, nose, and mouth) with your hands.
Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze with a tissue that you must dispose of the straightaway in a rubbish bin. If you don’t have a tissue, use your elbow.
If you experience mild symptoms of respiratory infection (cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat) remain in isolation until medical help arrives.
If symptoms become worse or if you are considered high-risk remain in isolation, seek immediate medical help. If you are taking medication, you must comply with your doctors’ advice.
Avoid direct contact with persons who show symptoms of respiratory infection (cough, runny nose, fever, sore throat).
Avoid gatherings, social events, and crowded open spaces.
The Opera House Hotel has permanent cooperation with local medical staff and clinics.
The island has a protocol in place to deal with any Covid cases. If you require assistance please stay in your room and contact reception.
